Require minimal maintenance or watering : centre of the plant is commonly known as the “Cup” which provides a vase-like affect to retain water

Propogation: Bromeliads reproduce via offsets , known as “Pups” and are readily self-replenishing

Suitable for Garden, Patio/Pergola, Shade houses, Hanging Baskets, Mounted onto Boards , Mallee Roots or Tree Branches to provide an excellent aesthetic Show

Suitable for most climates but will require some Frost protection: over planting, shade cloth, under eave lines etc.

A point of note is that most Collectors will agree is that they are “Addictive” , but in a pleasing, therapeutic & healthy manner ( & Legal Too…No Police Raids); you will always just want 1 more colour shape or size as new cultivars are released !
My hobby has been collecting Bromeliads for some 15/20 years and I have established my Tropical Garden( featured in a Melbourne Herald Sun editorial on 10th February 2008) based on an extensive Collection of many thousand cold grown Bromeliads, including over 1000 varieties, and I would love to share my experiences with you.
